About Us
Due to the growing popularity of Technical Education, the Vocational Examination Board was formed in 1986 to facilitate Education and Management and implement the Vocational Certification Courses
Growing industrialisation, changing technology, social and economic changes are making it necessary to impart training for skilled and semi-skilled jobs that would promote self-employment. Realising the importance of technical and business training, Maharashtra Technical Education board has offered short-term courses that can help students to earn a livelihood.
This board, under the control of Higher & Technical Education Division of Government of Maharashtra and under the jurisdiction of Directorate of Vocational Training, functions at the state level through six regional offices and district offices. Presently, the board functions from the following address – Shasakiya Tantra Niketan Building, 2nd Floor, 49, Kherwadi, Aliyawarjung Marg, Bandra (E), Mumbai 51.
