There are many industries based on surface phenomenon (Shown in figure). In all these industries, the critical mixtures are highly useful. In fact, physicochemical properties are indicators to develop critical mixtures in industrial processes. The experimental studies of such properties are rather difficult because of inbuilt experimental restrictions in measuring such properties, such as density, surface tension, conductance etc. to name a few. In addition to above mentioned limitations it is also quite time consuming process. The level of difficulties increases by manifolds especially with addition of additives. In fact, data reported after addition of additives are rather limited.

In modern days science and technology, the need of hour is to have concise, compact and economical multi tasking analytical tools. In this context, for measuring surface tension and viscosity of the materials, for centuries we have different tools, which is quite time consuming and expensive besides other limitations. In this direction, Prof. Man Singh has done breakthrough work and provided us very compact instruments called "Borosil Mansingh Survismeter" which is multitasking and economically very much affordable.
